The woman bought a designer coat from a charity shop for just 6 pounds, the actual price of which turned out to be in thousands. But on the other hand, some people also raised questions on the rising prices of second-hand shops.

Woman got luxury brand coat at low price
Often people turn to online sales or big malls to get cheap and good things. But there are some people who know the art of finding hidden treasures in charity shops. One such woman’s luck shone when she got an expensive designer coat for just 6 pounds (about ₹ 630). When she reached home and saw its real price, she herself was surprised.
Holly Wood, a resident of Manchester, is a sensible and thrifty shopper. She often shares amazing items she buys from charity shops with her social media followers. Recently she had gone out for second-hand shopping, where her eyes fell on a beautiful cream colored puffer coat. This coat was from designer brand Peacebird.
Got premium quote for just ₹630
Holly got this coat for just 6 pounds (about ₹ 630). The coat had a fold-over hood and front pockets, making it even more stylish. When Holly went home and looked at the brand’s website, it was found that the same coat was being sold for between 100 to 400 dollars (about ₹ 8,000 to ₹ 33,000). Knowing this she jumped with joy. Holly shared the video of this amazing deal on social media, which has been viewed by millions of people till now. In the video, she is seen expressing her happiness by showing the coat.
People praised it a lot
People showered a lot of love on the video. One user wrote- “The coat is very beautiful, just followed you.” Another said, “When you get such a big deal without knowing, it is a different kind of fun.” Many people called it an “unreal find” and a “wonderful buy.” Holly also said that she is completely happy with this coat and it will remain in her wardrobe for years.
But not every charity shopping is so easy
While Holly’s story is full of happiness, one user @ellenagall raised questions about the rising prices of charity shops. According to The Mirror, he said that in many charity shops second-hand goods are now being sold for more than new ones. He gave the example of clothes from a brand like Primark being sold for more than £10, whereas even a new one might not be available for that much. He says that people definitely want to support charity, but if the prices are high then why would people buy from there? Some people believe that charity shops can also be closed due to setting wrong prices. Customers will purchase goods again only when they get the goods at a reasonable price.
