Giridih News: Robbery by posing as fake GST officer, absconds with jewelery worth Rs 20 lakh in 15 minutes

A sensational robbery incident has come to light from Giridih district of Jharkhand, which has spread panic in the area. Six miscreants arrived in Dhanwar market in broad daylight posing as fake GST officers and targeted a jewelery shop. The accused, after entering the shop posing as officers, stole gold worth more than Rs 20 lakh.Silver Looted the jewelery and fled from the spot.

The entire incident has been captured in the CCTV camera installed in the shop, which is helping the police in the investigation. There is an atmosphere of fear in the area after the incident. Police have registered the case and started investigation and the search for the accused is going on.

The miscreant escaped after committing the crime in just 15 minutes.

According to the information, the criminals had arrived in a Scorpio vehicle. One of these persons was in police uniform, while the other was seen in black coat and pants. In the name of checking the documents, the miscreants got the Bengali artisans to open the cupboard and put the precious jewelery kept in it in their bag. The criminals also took the chief artisan Horihar Saav with them. After committing the entire incident in just 15 minutes, all the accused fled from the spot. However, it is a matter of relief that during the incident, the actions and faces of the miscreants have been captured in the CCTV cameras installed nearby. Now, on the basis of this footage, the police can identify the accused and start preparing for their arrest soon. At present there is an atmosphere of panic in the area and the police is engaged in investigating the matter.

Police busy searching for miscreants

At the same time, it was told that Harihar Saav, the chief artisan of the jewelery shop, was taken with him and dropped in the car at Devipur in Deoghar district. Then it was revealed that all these were fake GST officers. After which information was given to Dhanwar police station. Dhanwar police station reached the spot and started investigating the miscreants on the basis of CCTV footage.
