
Emergency landing of an international flight has been done at Lucknow airport in Uttar Pradesh. Actually, the flight going from Dubai to Kathmandu has made an emergency landing at Lucknow airport. According to airport sources, this landing took place at Lucknow airport due to low fuel in the aircraft.
The emergency landing of Fly Dubai flight FZ 1133 at Lucknow airport at 8.22 am on Saturday (April 11) caused a stir. There were a total of 154 passengers on this plane. All the passengers were evacuated safely in a hurry.
Decision taken due to shortage of fuel
An international flight going from Dubai to Kathmandu had to make an emergency landing at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport on Saturday. According to airport sources, this emergency decision was taken due to low fuel in the plane.
At present the plane is standing at the airport and all the passengers are present inside the plane. The airport administration and security agencies are keeping an eye on the entire situation. Let us tell you that earlier on March 31, Air India Express flight going to Delhi had to make emergency landing in Lucknow after getting warning of smoke in mid-air.
Air India flight landed first
The pilot had also made a pan-pan call to inform about this emergency. Air India Express flight going from Bagdogra to Delhi had to make emergency landing at Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport after smoke signal was detected on Monday evening. There were 148 passengers and six crew members on board the flight.
Smoke was seen in the aircraft’s avionics bay (which houses critical electronic systems), following which the pilot called ‘pan-pan’ instead of ‘med-day’. All passengers and crew remained safe and the aircraft landed in Lucknow without incident.
What did the airline say?
The airline had said that the crew immediately diverted the flight out of caution, to ensure the safety of the passengers. After landing, the passengers were given refreshments and later boarded other flights to Delhi.
Air India Express confirmed the incident and said the decision to divert was taken as per standard safety procedures. The airline also apologized for the inconvenience caused to the passengers.
