Congress leader Udit Raj has raised questions on the match between India and Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. He said, “What is the happiness in this, brother! Our team is very good, no one can deny this. But you have joined hands with Pakistan, made friendship. What happened? What must be going through the 26 people who were killed, their wives, their sons, their brothers? Our team is very good, but the hard work is done just to make headlines.”
‘Why are you playing cricket with an enemy country?’
Udit Raj clearly said that there is a need to think again about playing cricket with Pakistan. He said, “If we don’t play with Pakistan, it won’t work. Why should we play with the enemy country? Unless Pakistan stops terrorism and accepts that it is carrying out terrorism, why are we joining hands with it?”
Issue of martyrdom of soldiers and civilians raised
Linking the match to the country’s security, he said, “Why is cricket being played? To get our people killed. Our soldiers, our soldiers are killed, officers are killed, civilians are killed. Now we don’t know when a terrorist incident will happen again. Is there any guarantee on this?”
Election Commission also targeted
Not only cricket, Udit Raj also made serious allegations against the Election Commission. He said, “Action should be taken against the Election Commission. So many people have lost their lives because of SIR and so much load was given by them that the work went wrong and remained incomplete.”
He further alleged, “Whatever happens in favor of BJP is fine, the data has been collected. Anything else SIR It was not done properly. “Only to defeat the opposition, there should be no action against their permissive actions to cut off the opposition’s votes, but there should be action against the Election Commission.”
He said, “If the Election Commission is negative, then what right decision is the Election Commission taking? The one who is not in support of BJP, who is a neutral officer, who is doing his responsibility, will be the target.”
