Now the company moved one more step ahead of Moto Z’s more affordable variant Moto Z Play Is introduced. This phone also has a modular design like Z, but its specifications are like a mid-range smartphone. Moto Z Play was introduced in IFA 2016 and we got a chance to spend some time with it.
Modular design
Moto Z Play is the largest feature of its Moto Mod. The Moto Mod is an optional accessory that can be made more functional by adding it to the smartphone separately. The new Moto Z Play also supports Moto Mod. The moto modes offered by the company work on both these devices. Lenovo has promised that these moto modes will work with the upcoming three generations of Moto Z.
Talking about now, four moto modes are available in the market. These include the Moto Z Play, which also includes the Cells True Zoom Mod. Moto Z Play is very easy to attach the Moto Mod and we also liked this very much. You do not need to open the phone or change anything. Just touch the mod on the rear of the phone and it will be attached by sticking like a magnet.
It is equally easy to separate the mod from the phone. For this, you just have to pull the accessory. The connectivity of the mod is also very good. We attached the JBL Soundbust when the music was already being played in the phone and Z Play immediately detected it and within a few minutes the phone switched on it without doing anything without us. The same applies to other modes as well and they can also be connected and separated from the rear.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor
Moto Z and Moto Z Force found in the US where Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 820 processor is. At the same time, Snapdragon 625 processor has been given in Moto Z Play. The same processor is also in Asus’ Zenfone 3 Series phone. The Moto Z Play has 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage (with microSD card support) and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. However, we cannot say whether this phone will perform like Moto Z or not, but it is certainly highly affordable.
This phone has a low resolution screen than Moto Z. The phone has a 5.5 inch full HD Super AMOLED screen. On this density where pixels do not look different, but there is a difference in the screen of both phones. However, if the comparison is turned on one side then the Moto Z Play has a good screen.
16 megapixel camera
The Moto Z Play has a 16 -megapixel rear and a 5 -megapixel front camera. Both cameras have a flash. The rear camera provides support till the resolution video recording of hybrid autofocus and 4. The camera performance is largely similar to the Moto G4 Plus camera. The G4 Plus also has a 16 megapixel rear camera.
This device has a 3510 mAh battery which is slightly larger than the Moto Z. Motorola claims that the phone can be used for 45 hours but we will reserve our decision till the entire review process is done. The phone has a turbo charger with which the company claims that the battery can be charged for 8 hours in 15 minutes.
Moto Z Play supports Nano SIM card and Motorola has not yet revealed the arrival of its dual SIM variants in India. We hope that the dual sim variant Moto Z Play will be launched in India. The phone has a fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack and a liquid-repetition nano-koting. However, the specification of this phone for the Indian market has not been revealed yet. But this phone can be launched for less than Rs 30,000. Lenovo can launch Moto Z Play and Moto Mod and Style Shell with Moto Z in India.
