‘My strict policy and rhetoric are in the interest of America’
Trump said in his defense that before he became President, America was suffering losses in many matters including trade, but he came and changed the situation. He said that his strict policy and rhetoric are in the interest of America. However, after his statement, the opposition and many critics reacted sharply. Plan to capture Iran’s oil
Amidst this tension, President Trump said that if the decision was in his hands, America could take over Iran’s oil, because he considers himself a businessman first. During a press conference at the White House, he said that America has already partnered with Venezuela on oil, so the same can be done in the case of Iran. He also said that ‘the winner of the war should get its benefit’ and America should also take advantage of it. He clearly indicated that America may deviate from its old policy and think of capturing resources after the war. Trump also said that America helped other countries after World War II, but this should not happen now.
Trump again repeated the ultimatum
During this, Trump once again said that Iran has time till 8 pm on Tuesday night (5:30 am on Wednesday Indian time) to reach an agreement. He warned that if no deal is reached by then, ‘there will be no bridges, no power plants left’ in Iran and the country will reach the Stone Age. President Trump also claimed that when this conflict started on February 28, Iran was stronger, but now America has weakened it. He said that the steps which should have been taken in the last 47 years are being taken now. Apart from this, Trump made another big claim that some people of Iran themselves are asking America to ‘continue bombing’ because they want freedom in their country. According to him, the situation in Iran is very bad and strict action is taken against those who protest.

At the same time, Trump said that in the last 37 days, the US Army has launched a huge air campaign against Iran. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said that during this period, the US Army flew more than 10,000 combat flights and attacked more than 13,000 targets. He described it as commendable and said that such an operation had never been done before on such a large scale.
Trump also said that during this operation, an American fighter plane F-15E was shot down by Iran. This was the first time in this entire operation that an enemy downed an American piloted aircraft. He said that an officer (Weapons Systems Officer) present in the aircraft managed to get out safely, but he suffered injuries. He landed in difficult mountainous terrain and continued moving towards altitude to save himself, as he had been trained.
