
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva held a press conference on the completion of one year of the Rekha Gupta led BJP government and enumerated the achievements of the government. On this occasion, while on one hand he announced the future agenda, on the other hand he also targeted the opposition.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva held a press conference and congratulated the government led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on completing one successful year and extended best wishes for the upcoming tenure. The program started with a celebration by feeding laddus, where the state president was congratulated on the first anniversary of the government.
Sachdeva said that the people of Delhi had resolved to take out the garbage with brooms and decorate the rangoli of development with lotus colors. He claimed that this resolution was fulfilled on 8 February 2025 and after 27 years, Delhi got a sensitive BJP government, whose public courts are always open for common citizens.
Informed Delhiites about achievements of one year
The State President said that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has informed the people of Delhi about the achievements of the last one year. He said that the biggest achievement of the present government is its sense of responsibility. This government takes responsibility, is accountable on every issue and will remain so in future also.
Claim to control sewer and waterlogging
Sachdeva alleged that in the last three decades, the governments of Congress and Arvind Kejriwal had stalled Delhi’s sewer system. He said that scams took place in new colonies like Kirari in the name of sewer lines and cleanliness, due to which Delhi used to get submerged even in light rains. The BJP government controlled this situation in the very first year and a significant improvement in the situation was seen in the last monsoon.
Picture of public transport changed with new electric buses
He said that in 11 years the public transport system had almost come to a standstill. The BJP government provided about 1000 new electric buses to the people of Delhi in a single year, which has improved transport services and also taken steps towards pollution control.
Mohalla Clinic vs Ayushman Arogya Mandir
Sachdeva said that the previous government gave a scam to Delhi in the name of Mohalla Clinic. On the contrary, the present government has established more than 100 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, where people are getting comprehensive facilities for primary diagnosis and treatment.
Preparations to take the number of Atal canteens beyond 150
Delhi BJP President said that the government has recently dedicated 25 Atal canteens to the common citizens. Now a total of 71 new canteens are being operated in the capital and preparations are on to increase their number beyond 150 soon, so that food will be available to the needy at affordable rates.
Free gas cylinder and increase in maternity scheme from Holi
Sachdeva said that fulfilling the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government has announced to provide free gas cylinders to poor families from Holi. Along with this, another resolution has been realized by increasing the amount of maternity scheme.
Sharp attack on Manish Sisodia
In the press conference, Sachdeva also targeted former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. He said that after missing from public for almost a year, his press conference has surprised the people of Delhi. Sachdeva alleged that while living in Delhi, he was less a minister and more a collection inspector and is now active in Punjab.
