Delhi: Big decision of CM Rekha Gupta, ban on sale of LPG cylinders from warehouse, strict instructions to distributors

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has imposed a complete ban on the sale of cylinders from warehouses to make the LPG distribution system in Delhi more transparent and smooth. Also, clear instructions have been given to all the distributors that selling cylinders directly from the warehouse is illegal and strict action will be taken against any such activity.

Increased availability of 5 KG LPG cylinders

Keeping in mind the convenience of consumers, the availability of 5 kg LPG cylinders has been increased in the entire city. Now these small cylinders can be easily obtained from gas agencies by showing valid identity card, there will be no need for address verification.

Advice to common people to avoid rumors

In order to provide special facilities to migrant workers, 11 dedicated help desks have also been set up at selected outlets of HPCL, where they are being given information about the nearest LPG distributors. Citizens have been appealed to avoid any kind of rumor and cooperate with the administration by trusting the established delivery system.

There is no shortage of LPG anywhere – Delhi Government

News of crisis regarding LPG supply in the national capital Delhi is continuously coming to the fore. There are long queues at many places to get LPG cylinders. Many people allege that despite standing in line for several hours, they are not able to get LPG gas cylinder. Meanwhile, the government has denied any such situation. The government has said that the situation is completely normal.

In a post released on April 4 on the official social media platform X of the Delhi Chief Minister’s Office, it has been made clear that there is no shortage of LPG anywhere in the capital. Besides, the government also said that strict steps are being taken to stop black marketing and hoarding.
