The cabinet expansion which was awaited for a long time in the politics of Uttarakhand may soon become a reality. There can be an expansion of the cabinet in Uttarakhand on Friday i.e. tomorrow 20th March. There is a lot of movement from Raj Bhavan to the government. The swearing-in ceremony can take place at Raj Bhavan at 10 am on Friday.
Orders have been issued in the government regarding Uttarakhand cabinet expansion. In Uttarakhand, one cabinet minister each can be made from Haridwar, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Nainital and Dehradun. At present there are five vacant posts in the Dhami cabinet, the efforts to fill them have intensified. Along with this, the responsibilities which have been lying vacant for a long time will also be filled, so that a balance can be maintained between the organization and the government. The special thing is that this time regional balance will be given priority in cabinet expansion. A formula has been prepared to give a chance to the MLAs from the districts where there is no cabinet minister till now.
Some of these may get a place in the cabinet
According to the information, many names are under discussion in political circles. These include MLAs like Khajan Das, Vinod Chamoli, Munna Singh Chauhan, Adesh Chauhan, Vinod Kandari, Ram Singh Kaida and Diwan Singh Bisht. Some of these may get a place in the cabinet, while others can be satisfied by giving them important responsibilities.
It is being told that through this expansion, the government not only wants to honor the loyal and active MLAs of the organization, but is also preparing to solve the political equations keeping in mind the upcoming elections. In such a situation, the final list will be prepared keeping in mind regional, caste and organizational balance.

Political analysts believe that this cabinet expansion can be an important part of BJP’s strategy before the 2027 assembly elections.
