
Union Minister Ramdas Athawale has given a big statement regarding the politics of West Bengal. He said that BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari was earlier with Mamata Banerjee, but joined BJP in the year 2020. Athawale said that in the Bengal elections, BJP contested the elections strongly under his leadership and the party got huge support.
He said that BJP won about 207 seats there. Mamata Banerjee’s grip has weakened, and she has ruined Bengal economically. She brought the culture of ‘Gundaraj’ to Bengal. Because of this, people have expressed their anger through voting.

Ramdas Athawale also expressed his opinion on the ongoing discussion regarding Marathi language in Maharashtra. He said that Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik has asked rickshaw and taxi drivers in Mumbai to learn Marathi.
Athawale clarified that there is no coercion in this. He said that Marathi is the state language of Maharashtra, so the people living there should try to learn it. He said that if people speaking Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Bhojpuri also learn Marathi, this will further improve mutual understanding.
He also praised Haji Arafat Sheikh’s initiative to teach Marathi to taxi and rickshaw drivers. Athawale called it a positive step.

Ramdas Athawale also reacted to the arrest of Punjab Government Minister Sanjeev Arora by ED. He said that agencies like ED and CBI work on the basis of evidence.
He said that if action is taken against any minister, MLA or MP, there must be a legal basis and evidence behind it. Athawale said that the law is supreme and the investigating agencies work accordingly.
