CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s gift on Himachal Day, women will get ₹ 1500

On the occasion of Himachal Day, a state level function was organized at Reckong Peo, the headquarters of Kinnaur district. During this, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu hoisted the flag, took the salute of the parade and wished the people of the state on the Foundation Day. Local people, officials and public representatives were present in large numbers in the program.

Making the biggest announcement, the Chief Minister said that Rs 1500 will be given every month to all eligible women above 21 years of age in Kinnaur district. The objective of this scheme is to economically strengthen women in tribal areas. The government believes that this will increase the self-reliance of women and the economic condition of the family will also improve.

Relief on pending payments and salaries to employees

Big relief has also been given for government employees. The Chief Minister announced that the pending gratuity and leave encashment to Class-4 employees retired between January 1 and December 31, 2022, will be paid in the month of May. This news is a relief for the employees who have been waiting for their money for a long time.

Apart from this, the government has withdrawn the decision to postpone the salaries of Class-1 and Class-2 officers. However, partial reduction in salaries of some categories will still continue for a limited time.

Sign of change in education system

Chief Minister Sukhu also indicated changes in the education system. He said that the same fees will be charged from students in all the schools of the state. This will bring equality and transparency in education. The focus of the government is that every child should get equal opportunities, no matter what background he comes from.

An important decision has also been taken for the police department. The Chief Minister said that policemen who give honest and excellent service will be given an additional rank at the time of retirement. This is being considered as a step to boost the morale of the police force.

Himachal Pradesh was formed on this day

Himachal Pradesh was formed on 15 April 1948 by merging about 30 princely states. Later in 1971, it got the status of a full state and became the 18th state of the country. Today Himachal Pradesh is known as Devbhoomi, where a unique confluence of natural beauty and cultural heritage can be seen.
