Bihar: Politics intensified in Bihar due to Samrat Chaudhary’s statement about garlanding him, what did RJD and other parties say?

A new debate has started in the politics of Bihar on the issue of ‘good governance’ and ‘crime’. Former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had made ‘Rule of Law’ his biggest USP, now the new Chief Minister of the state Samrat Choudhary seems to be moving forward on the same path in a slightly different and aggressive manner. There is a political turmoil in Bihar after the CM’s open instructions to ‘garland’ (hint towards encounter) the criminals who misbehave with girls.

The main opposition party RJD has expressed strong objection to this ‘free hand’ given to the police by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary in the meeting with DGP, DM and SP. RJD’s chief spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari asked a direct question to JDU, “Is Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary’s instruction to garland criminals a Yogi model or a Nitish model? Will this now be the new policy of zero tolerance towards crime?”

JDU counterattacks – bullets will be answered with bullets

On these questions of the opposition, NDA’s main constituent JDU has strongly defended CM Samrat Chaudhary. JDU spokesperson Abhishek Jha said, “Nitish Kumar ji has established the rule of law in Bihar. CM Samrat Chaudhary is doing a very good job and his instructions are within the ambit of the law.” Responding to the opposition, he clarified, “Police is not meant to entertain criminals. Our police is fully capable of breaking the morale of criminals. Now the bullets of criminals will be answered with bullets only.”

BJP’s claim- criminals have entered the bill

Former minister and BJP MLA Ramkripal Yadav has also supported the Chief Minister’s statement. He said, “The first priority of the government is to maintain law and order. CM Samrat Chaudhary We are adopting the same ‘zero tolerance’ policy which was made by former CM Nitish Kumar. Whoever tries to disturb peace will be given a befitting reply.”

On Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav calling criminals ’emperors’, Ramkripal Yadav took a sharp dig and said, “The Chief Minister himself is the emperor and due to his fear the criminals have now entered the bill.”

These big questions are being raised in political circles

After becoming the Chief Minister of Bihar from BJP quota, now the question is being raised whether the NDA government of Bihar will still be in control. Nitish Kumar Do you have a hold on it, or has the entire command of power come into the hands of BJP? The biggest question is that in a state where criminals used to go to jail under the law, is the talk of giving leeway to the police like ‘encounter’, the beginning of a ‘new political and policing era’ in Bihar?
