The cabinet expansion of the new government of National Democratic Alliance in Bihar will take place on May 7. The list which Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary had taken to Delhi has been approved by the high command. After this it became clear that the swearing-in ceremony would take place at Gandhi Maidan. State President Sanjay Saragavi said that the cabinet expansion of the new government will take place under the leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary at Gandhi Maidan on May 7. PM Narendra Modi, BJP National President Nitin Naveen will also attend this swearing-in ceremony.
What will be the form of the cabinet?
Samrat Chaudhary is currently preparing to administer oath to 30 ministers. Of these, 12 ministers will be made from BJP, 11 from JDU, 1 each from LJP (Ram Vilas) and RLMO and HAM. BJP will keep the post of Home Department and Assembly Speaker. JDU, RLMO and we will not do any special experiment. Only those who took oath in the new government in November 2025 will be given a second chance.
What will happen to Vijay Sinha and Dilip Jaiswal?
Since the formation of the new government on April 15, it has become clear from the working style and statements of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary that he wants a new team. Senior journalist Praveen Baghi said that the biggest challenge before the BJP is to maintain social and regional balance. The party is trying to give representation to all sections under social engineering. Indications are that BJP may give chance to new faces. Old veterans like Vijay Sinha, Mangal Pandey, Ramkripal Yadav, Dilip Jaiswal may get a second chance. Samrat Chaudhary will have special focus on youth and women. The high command wants that special care should be taken of social engineering in the government. Every class should get a chance so that the balance is maintained.
