Politics has now started over the nine deaths that occurred due to the sinking of a cruise ship in the Bargi Dam of Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh on Thursday night. Congress is attacking the government. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has demanded action against the culprits, while State Congress President Jitu Patwari has termed the accident as government murder.
Let us tell you that at around 6 pm on Thursday evening, the tourism department’s cruise in Bargi Dam of Jabalpur overturned in the dam due to bad weather. So far, bodies of nine people have been recovered. While 28 passengers were saved safely. The search for four people is still going on. Taking action, the government has terminated the services of many officers and even suspended some. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and State Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav have expressed grief over the accident. Also, the central and state governments have announced financial assistance for the families of the dead and injured. But politics has started taking place in the matter. Congress is putting pressure on the state government. In this connection, former Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi wrote on Facebook on Saturday.

What did Rahul Gandhi say?
Rahul Gandhi wrote on Facebook that the news of death of many people in the tragic boat accident in Narmada river in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh is extremely painful.
My deepest condolences to all the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in this accident. I am with the affected families in this hour of grief. I wish for the speedy recovery of the injured. This accident raises serious questions on the safety protocols implemented on the river. This incident should be investigated impartially and strict guidelines should be issued to prevent such tragedies in future and strict action should be taken against the culprits. Such negligence at the cost of innocent lives is not acceptable under any circumstances.

Jeetu Patwari hit the mark
While tweeting this message, State Congress President Jitu Patwari has attacked the Mohan government. He wrote on X that 36 people died due to contaminated water in Indore, 26 innocent people became victims of poisonous drugs in Chhindwara, HIV infected blood was given to children in Satna, a newborn was gnawed to death by rats in the hospital of Indore, 9 people lost their lives in a cruise accident in Jabalpur. Patwari further wrote that so many deaths… tragedies one after the other… but no responsibility is fixed in the Mohan government, nor does anyone answer. The arrogance of 20 years of power is so dominant that every carelessness is suppressed and every pain is forgotten by making it news. Now accidents are not happening in Madhya Pradesh, innocent people are being killed continuously by the government.
