A big and important twist has come to light in the historical Bhojshala dispute located in Dhar. In the context of the recent order of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, a new administrative order has been issued by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Under the new arrangement, for the first time, ASI has addressed this historical site administratively as Bhojshala and Sanskrit Pathshala established by Raja Bhoj. Earlier the reference to Kamal Maula Masjid used with this complex was not accepted.

According to the claim, under the new arrangement, for the first time, ASI has addressed this historical site administratively as “Bhojshala and Sanskrit Pathshala established by Raja Bhoj”. Earlier the reference to Kamal Maula Masjid used with this complex was not accepted. Hindu organizations and cultural experts have called it extremely important from the historical and religious point of view and called it the restoration of historical truth.

Given the right to worship without any restrictions

According to main petitioner Ashish Goyal, in its order the High Court has given special importance to the historical nature of Bhojshala and the Hindu worship tradition continuing there. After this, in the new order issued by ASI, the Hindu community has been given the right to worship without any restriction for all 365 days of the year. Along with this, it has also come to light that the previously implemented Friday Namaz related system has been cancelled.

What was the old system?

Actually, according to the ASI system implemented from the year 2003, there was a rule of co-existence in Bhojshala, under which Hindus were allowed to worship on Tuesday and Muslim community was allowed to offer namaz on Friday. During the remaining days this place remained open for tourists. As soon as the information about this decision and the new arrangement of ASI was received, huge enthusiasm is being seen among the devotees and various social organizations in the entire Madhya Pradesh including Dhar.

Legal experts believe that this decision is not limited to just one religious site, but it also underlines the importance of India’s cultural heritage, historical identity and scientific archaeological evidence (ASI survey). This site has long been a center of faith for the Hindu community as a center of knowledge, learning and an ancient temple of Mother Saraswati (Vagdevi) of the great King Bhoj of the Paramara dynasty, which is now being claimed for legal and administrative recognition.
