The Supreme Court bench passed an important order today in the case related to Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) companies. The court directed CBI and ED to conduct a fair and impartial investigation in the alleged banking fraud case involving Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group companies. The court said that both the investigating agencies have already sought time on this Public Interest Litigation (PIL) alleging banking fraud. In such a situation, they will have to file a reply in the court within four weeks.

The Supreme Court, while seeking the report of the investigation and action taken so far from CBI and ED, said that ED and CBI have already taken a lot of time to investigate the role of ADAG group companies in this fraud case. The court also gave 4 weeks time to Anil Ambani and ADAG to file their reply.
