
A very painful case has come to light from Jhansi, where a 19 year old B.Sc. student died during treatment. Family members allege that the student took suicidal steps due to threats from the neighbor youth. The case is of village Pavai of Moth police station area, the deceased Muskaan was a first year B.Sc. student and lived with her grandparents and uncle. It is being told that on March 19, Muskaan had gone to Chirgaon market with her cousin sister Deepika. Muskaan returned home in the evening, but Deepika did not return.
According to family members, the neighboring youth Vikas Ahirwar took Deepika with him. When Muskaan protested against this, the accused also threatened her and warned her of dire consequences if she told anyone. It is alleged that due to this threat and mental pressure, Muskaan drank the pesticide kept in the house on March 20. When his condition worsened, he was admitted to Jhansi Medical College, where he died during treatment. Family members say that if the threat had not been given, Muskaan would have been alive today. He has demanded strict action against the accused.
While issuing a press release regarding this matter, Jhansi police said that on March 24, around 11.00 am, Kaushal Kishore Ahirwar, son of Dharamjeet, resident of village Pawai police station, Moth district, Jhansi, gave written information at police station Moth that his niece Muskaan, daughter of late Balveer, resident of village Pawai police station, Moth district, Jhansi, aged about 20 years, was admitted to the Medical College, Jhansi for treatment after consuming poisonous substance on March 19. Then on March 23, he died at around 11.00 pm on the way to Gwalior for treatment.
The police said that no information was given to the police regarding the consumption of poison by the deceased. On March 24, 5 days after the incident of consuming poison, when Muskaan above died, the family informed the local police. On receiving the information, the police station reached the spot and conducted Panchayat Nama and post-mortem. Prima facie, the entire incident appears suspicious in the police investigation. Various aspects of the incident are being thoroughly investigated on the basis of available primary evidence, post-mortem report, statements and evidence of family members. Necessary legal action will be taken soon after the investigation is completed, at present law and order is normal.
