In Scotland, the police are looking for women who are allegedly stealing Bridal Shops. Recently, its latest case came up in Glasgow, where two wedding gowns were tried to steal from a shop. The CCTV footage of this incident has gone viral on social media, in which a woman can be seen clearly running from the shop with a gown in hand. The incident took place on Monday, 22 September 2025 at around 2:26 pm at a bridal shop named “Brides in the City”. In the footage, four women are seen entering the shop. Women arrived to steal wedding dress
Initially she is seen laughing and smiling, but suddenly she picked up two expensive wedding gowns (the total price £ 4,000 i.e. about 4.25 lakh rupees) and ran out of the shop. In the CCTV footage, a woman was seen running on the road, while the gown kept waving in the air. However, a staff member of the shop and a passerby immediately showed understanding. He chased the thieves women and tried to stop them by standing on their way. Meanwhile, both the gowns left and the attempt to steal failed. It is believed that these women are part of a retail theft gang, active in many areas of Scotland- such as Glasgow, Sterling, Edinburgh, Folkirk and Stranar. Sharing this video on her official social media page, the bridal shop wrote- “At 2:26 pm today, these four women came to our store and started carrying two wedding gowns without paying. We hope that our bride customers, family and friends will share this video and perhaps help to identify them.”

Shop staff expressed displeasure
The shop workers said that the women came inside very cleverly and indicated to each other to remain silent, which proves that their intentions had already stolen. The staff also said that when they were stopped, those women were treated with “smoker”, which was extremely derogatory. The store also thanked the passerby who helped the staff, but regrettably, his name or contact could not be taken in the mess. The police is now collecting additional CCTV footage from nearby shops and appealed to the public to share immediately if someone knows about suspicious women.
