
Basti police has exposed the case of a woman’s dead body being found on the railway track. Police investigation has revealed that it was not just an accident but a murder. In this murder case, the police has arrested an accused, who is said to be close to the woman. Police said that the accused strangled the woman to death in order to get her out of the way.
According to the information, this whole matter is of Walterganj police station area, where on March 5, the body of a 55-year-old woman was found in a suspicious condition on the railway track. However, in the initial investigation by the police, the matter appeared to be an accident. The family members had expressed suspicion of murder in this case and demanded investigation.
Police caught the woman’s close friend
It was told that in the police investigation, the name of a person named Abhishek Srivastava came to light, who was very close to the deceased. Investigation has also revealed that the woman was dependent on him for household work and the accused took advantage of this trust. The deceased’s husband has been suffering from paralysis for 14 years and her son is a drug addict. The accused took advantage of the woman’s helplessness and got two bighas of land in his name and gave her only Rs 3 lakh.
Police investigation has revealed that the accused fraudulently transferred about 2 bighas of the woman’s land, the value of which is said to be around Rs 19 lakh, to his wife. After getting the land in his name, the accused gave only Rs 3.5 lakh to the woman and did not give the remaining Rs 16 lakh.
Murder by calling on the pretext of giving money
Police officials said that when the woman repeatedly demanded his money, the accused planned to eliminate her. When the woman repeatedly asked for the dues, accused Abhishek called the woman under the pretext of giving her money and strangulated her to death.

SP Yashveer Singh said that during the investigation, the police has collected many important evidences. In the CCTV footage, the accused is seen taking the woman away on a motorcycle. Apart from this, the call detail records of both their mobile phones were also found matching with each other.
The police have also verified the transactions related to land, which have come to light in Siddharthnagar. The police have arrested the accused and legal action is being taken against him. The police team was also given a reward of Rs 10,000 for this important revelation.
