Roman says that he was aware of his friend’s feelings and did not want to break their years-old friendship because of a woman. For this reason, all three decided to live together with mutual understanding. After living in this arrangement for about a year, with the blessings of Dujduan’s family, they held a formal marriage ceremony.

Duzduan’s mother Guang, 61, said she has seen her daughter struggle a lot in life and is now happy that she has found friends to support her. According to him, what the society thinks is not as important as his daughter’s happiness and the secure future of his children. He said that mutual love and understanding is more important than dowry. Salengthon sub-district municipality mayor Thienyu Luangdechanurak also attended the wedding. He said that he has seen many marriages, but this was the first time that he saw a woman marrying two men simultaneously. He wished the newlyweds and said that may their love last for a long time.
