Who is Mithun Manas?
Manhas, who started his professional career in the 1997/98 season, was one of the many middle-order batsmen who came at the wrong time. In the era of veterans like Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman and Sourav Ganguly, Manhas failed to make it to the Indian team. However, he became a prominent player in domestic cricket. Right -handed batsman Manhas was an inspirational man in Delhi’s dressing room. Manhas led the team for most of the time on duty of the national team of big names like Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir. In fact, the great Virat Kohli also played under his captaincy in the early years of his domestic cricket.
Mithun Manhas leads in the race to become BCCI President
In 2017, he returned to IPL as an assistant coach of Punjab and then was elected as the batting advisor of Bangladesh Under-19 team in the same year. After two years, he joined as an assistant coach of RCB in that role and in this time Gujarat is working in the same position for Titans. Manhas also has administrative experience, she has served as the Cricket Directorate of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).
