New Delhi: The ICC T20 World Cup started in the year 2007. In the very first edition of the tournament, when Team India’s legend Yuvraj Singh scored a fifty in 12 balls, it created a sensation all over the world. That half-century scored by Yuvraj in 12 balls in the year 2007 is still the fastest and till date no batsman has been able to break it. After that, countless fifties and centuries were also scored, but 9 years after Yuvraj Singh’s fastest fifty, the record of fastest century was made in the T20 World Cup in 2016.

The record of this fastest century was made by none other than Chris Gayle, popularly known as Universe Boss. Gayle also did this feat against England only.
