Russia is sending advanced drones to Iran, Russia, America and Europe are worried
According to US and European officials, Russia is sending drones to Iran. These drones were earlier given to Russia by Iran, but now Russia has made them even better. Iran has been attacking Israel, Gulf countries and American bases with its drones for the last one month. Iran already has Shahed drones, but Russia has made improvements like navigation in these drones during the war.
European official says there has been a lot of discussion on drone transfer between Russia and Iran this month. America says that it is not yet clear whether this is a one-time transfer or will be continuous. It is not yet known how many drones were sent. A European official said that sending a few drones would not have much impact on the outcome of the war.
A US Defense Department official said that Russia’s motive for providing advanced drones to Iran is not clear, because the same drones that are sent to Iran cannot be used by Russia on Ukraine. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that this step of Russia towards Iran will not affect any action of America.
According to European intelligence, a consignment of drones is on the way, but it is not clear how it is being sent. Recently two convoys have gone from Russia to Iran using trucks, which Russia has described as humanitarian aid. There may also be drones in it. The Russian Embassy in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, said seven trucks carrying 150 tons of food and other aid reached the Iranian city of Astara. At the same time, Russia’s Emergency Ministry said that 313 tons of medicines also reached Astara.
