vaibhav suryavanshi: Under-19 World Cup winner and young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi said that his aim is to win the trophy for Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). This batsman, who won the Under-19 World Cup at the age of just 14, had made the record of being the youngest to score a century in IPL 2025.

New Delhi. After Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his debut in IPL 2025 at the age of just 13, he is continuously performing well. Vaibhav has been attracting everyone’s attention with his aggressive batting ever since he made his debut for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025. Vaibhav played an important role in India winning the Under-19 World Cup. Vaibhav will now start playing his second season of IPL from March 28. Vaibhav had earlier attended the BCCI Naman Awards held in Delhi, where he was honored with the Under-19 World Cup winning team. Speaking at the BCCI Naman Awards, Suryavanshi recalled his conversation with former Rajasthan Royals head coach Rahul Dravid just before his debut.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his debut in IPL at the age of just 13. He played his first match for Rajasthan Royals against Lucknow Super Giants and thus became the youngest player to play in the IPL. Vaibhav had sent his very first ball of his IPL career for a six. Just before his debut, he had a conversation with the then coach Rahul Dravid. Suryavanshi told that Dravid sir asked him what was his game plan. On this he said, ‘If the ball comes to his favorite area (arc), he will hit it hard.’ Vaibhav narrated this anecdote at the BCCI Awards program.

Then during the conversation Sanju Samson narrated the whole story. Sanju told that Dravid sir called him in the meeting room and said that Vaibhav is very young, so he has to explain how to play. Samson further said, ‘Dravid asked Vaibhav, ‘What is your plan?’ According to Samson, Vaibhav first said, ‘Sir, we will just play.’ Then Dravid asked again what was the real plan. Then Vaibhav said, ‘Sir, if I get a chance to play the first ball, I will blow it (go to play a big shot). Sanju Samson laughingly told that Vaibhav did exactly the same in the match. Vaibhav sent Shardul Thakur’s ball into the stands, due to which he joined the club of select batsmen who hit a six on the first ball of their IPL career.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi said that he wants to win the trophy for Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming season of IPL. This batsman, who won the Under-19 World Cup, had made the record of being the youngest to score a century in IPL 2025. This year, his innings of 175 runs in 80 balls against England in the final of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup played an important role in India winning its record sixth title. Now his entire focus is on IPL.
