Uttarakhand News: ‘Out of 3885 announcements, 2408 have been completed’, CM Dhami enumerated the achievements of his government.

The budget session of Uttarakhand Assembly this time was historic and important in many ways. This session, organized in Gairsain under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, emerged as a reflection of the government’s achievements, policies and future plans. In this session, organized on the threshold of completion of four years of the second term of the Dhami government, a new and more aggressive political style of the Chief Minister was also seen.

This budget session, which started from March 9, lasted for a total of 41 hours and 10 minutes in Gairsain, which is considered to be the longest assembly session so far in terms of hours. During this, the budget for the financial year 2026-27 was passed and the House approved 12 bills. Along with this, four ordinances were also approved.

Out of 3885 announcements as Chief Servant, 2408 have been completed – Dhami

According to the information, 50 short-listed questions and 545 starred questions were received in the House during the session, out of which 291 questions were answered. This session was not limited only to the legislative process, but also became a platform for extensive discussion on the development, policies and working style of the government. Many MLAs also praised the developmental initiatives and decisions of the Dhami government in the House.

Chief Minister Dhami’s attitude was especially discussed during the discussion on the Governor’s address. The Chief Minister, who usually appears calm and balanced, was this time seen making sharp attacks on the opposition, especially the Congress. He said that his government is not just one to make announcements but is one to implement them on the ground. Dhami said that out of 3885 announcements made as Chief Servant, 2408 have been completed and work on the rest is going on at a fast pace.

Women got freedom from evil practices like triple talaq and halala

Taking aim at the tenure of the Congress, the Chief Minister said that earlier mining activities were dependent on the strongmen and the state’s revenue used to go into the pockets of the mining mafia. He told that earlier the revenue from mining was around Rs 400 crore, which has now increased to more than Rs 1200 crore. Dhami also cornered the opposition on the issue of Uniform Civil Code and encroachment. He said that Uttarakhand became the first state in the country to implement UCC after independence. Due to this, women have got freedom from evil practices like triple talaq and halala.

The state’s economy grew one and a half times in the last four years

The Chief Minister also said that the state’s economy has grown more than one and a half times in the last four years. The budget size of the state has increased from Rs 60 thousand crore to more than Rs 1 lakh ten thousand crore and an increase of 41 percent has been recorded in the per capita income. At the end of his address, Chief Minister Dhami said that the aim of his government is not only development but to make Uttarakhand safe, prosperous and self-reliant. So that the light of development can reach the last person of the state.
