The assembly session held in Gairsain continued till 12:30 am on the fifth day. During this period, the Dhami government passed a budget of more than one lakh crore. After this the session was adjourned indefinitely.
CM Dhami had presented a budget of Rs 111703.21 crore for the financial year 2026-27 on the first day of the Assembly session on Monday. The size of this budget has been increased by 10.41 percent compared to the current financial year. In the budget, the government gave the mantra of knowledge and balance to fulfill the resolve of self-reliant and developed Uttarakhand. This is the first time that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented his government’s budget in the House as Finance Minister.

The government is expected to receive revenue of Rs 111703.21 crore in the new financial year. This will include contribution of Rs 67525.77 crore revenue receipts and Rs 42617.35 crore capital receipts. There is no estimate of revenue deficit in the tax-free budget. At the same time, fiscal deficit has been estimated at Rs 12579.70 crore.
