Following the order of the High Court, Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar has issued an order to remove the mention of caste from all government documents, police records and public places.
With this decision, police records, FIR, arrest memo, police notice boards, vehicles and signboards will be completely removed from vehicles and signboards. Along with this, there will be complete ban on caste -based rallies and strict monitoring on social media.
The order was to end discrimination
In fact, the High Court ordered this order to promote social harmony and end discrimination. Under the new rules, caste will no longer mention FIR, arrest memo and other police records. Instead, parents’ names will be added for identity. However, in specific cases like SC/ST Act, caste mention will be exempted, so that the legal process is not affected. The Chief Secretary clarified that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and the Police Rules will be amended soon to ensure compliance with the order.
Caste based signal and slogans completely banned
Under this order, caste -based signals from police vehicles, police vehicles and public signboards, such as ‘Yadav’, ‘Jat’, ‘Gurjar’ or slogans of other communities, will be removed immediately. Apart from this, caste -based rallies and demonstrations have been completely banned. Such material will also be monitored on social media, and strict action will be taken against those who violate. This step is considered important towards increasing social unity in Uttar Pradesh and reducing caste stress.
Strict adherence will be done
Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar informed that the instructions of the High Court will be strictly followed. Orders have been sent to all police stations and government departments. Our goal is to promote equality and unity in society. He instructed the police officers not to violate the new rules, and in the event of violation, action will be taken against the responsible officials.
This decision can prove to be a milestone in the direction of ending caste discrimination in Uttar Pradesh. SC,ST There will be exemption in act matters
