Ashutosh Maharaj Brahmachari, who had applied in the court to register an FIR against Swami Avimukteshwaranand, was attacked with a sharp weapon in the Rewa Express train at around 5 am on Sunday. Maharaj, who was going to Prayagraj in an AC coach, said that he was seriously injured in this attack with a sharp weapon. He somehow saved his life by locking himself in the train toilet. The incident took place near Sirathu railway station in Kaushambi district on Sunday morning.
