
An Indian engineer was shot dead by the police in California, USA. This man named Mohammad Nizamuddin was allegedly disputed with his roommate. The family of Nizamuddin of Telangana has requested the Ministry of External Affairs to help in bringing his body. Nizamuddin had publicly complained about racial harassment and problems in the job before being shot.
Mohammad Nizamuddin earned a Masters degree in Computer Science from Florida. He was then working in a company in California, but he was fired after that. Nizamuddin had accused LinkedIn through a post that he was wrongly fired and the salary has also been cheated. Not only this, Nizamuddin also shared a post regarding racial harassment.
Police shot Nizamuddin four bullets
According to the report of ‘Times of India’, Nizamuddin was shot four bullets. According to the statement of Santa Clara Police, a call was received on 911 regarding the knife. Police officers reached the spot as soon as the information was received. Police said that when they reached there, a man was standing with a knife. When he did not listen to the police, he was shot. The statement also said that the person’s roommate fell down and he was also hurt at many places. This entire incident is on 3 September.
Family sought help from the Ministry of External Affairs
Majlis Bachao Tehreek spokesperson Amjad Ullah Khan met Nizamuddin’s family. He spoke to father Mohammad Hasanuddin and other relatives. Amjad has written a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs and sought help. They want to bring the body to India. He has also written in the letter that the matter should be investigated with seriousness.
