US President Donald Trump has said that talks with Iran are ‘not going as expected’ and he is not happy with it. Trump said Iran is not willing to give the things the US wants, so no underlying agreement has been reached yet. He said further talks were to take place but added that Iran should not get nuclear weapons. America has increased its military strength in West Asia, due to which there is talk of risk of war in the region.

‘Military option can be used’

Trump made it clear that the final decision has not been taken yet and if Iran does not negotiate properly then military option can also be used. He said that they have ‘the largest army in the world’ and can use it if needed, but they do not want it to be used.

Iran attack and threat of West Asia conflict

When asked by reporters whether a US attack on Iran could lead to an all-out Middle East war, Trump said ‘the risk is always there’, but he also said it would be better if both sides talked honestly. Trump said he wants Iran not to make nuclear weapons, but there are major obstacles to negotiations with Iran. America has deployed its navy and air strike groups in the Middle East to exert pressure.

Trump’s comments about Cuba

Trump has said that the Cuban government is in economic crisis, they have no money and everything is difficult, but they are negotiating with the US. One interesting thing he said was that negotiations with Cuba could lead to a ‘friendly transfer of control’, which he called a friendly takeover.
