Equity benchmark indices traded flat on tuesday as investors appeared to have embraced “Wait and watch” approach, Awaiting Clarity in India-Ass Deal Developments.

Sensex was up 98.28 pts or 0.12 per cent to 83,540.78 as at 12.40 PM after Opening at 83,387.03 Against the Previous Close of 83,442.50. Nifty 50 Traded at 25,469.90, up 8.60 pts or 0.03 per cent.

Smallcap index depreciated the most, down 1.04 per cent at the time of written, while midcap index dipped 0.90 per cent. The Volativity Index Declined 2.68 per cent to 12.22.

On the sectorral front, consumer durables, media, pharma and healthcare indexes dragged 1-2.5 per cent, while banking, private bank and it stocks staged resilience.

Top Gainers & Losers Today

Shares of Kotak mahindraEternal, Grasim, Bharat Electronics and Tech mahindra Led the Gainers of Nifty 50 Pack, while TitanDr Reddy’s Laboratories, Trent, Cipla and Bajaj Auto Traded as Major Laggards.

Kotak Mahindra Bank Led The Gainers With Nearly 4 per cent uptick following the June Quarter Business Update. On the flip side, Titan Company Fell 6 per cent.

Only 977 stocks advanced on the National Stock Exchange And 1,824 declined of all the 2,903 stocks that was traded.

Midcap & Smallcap Senmovers

Apollo Hospitals, Divi’s Laboratories, Gabriel, JM Financial and JP Power We Among the 46 Stocks that HIT 52-wait High, While Dreamfolks, Easemytrip, Khadim and 33 Other Stocks Hit A 52-WOKKKS HIT A 52-Deccation Low.

About 77 stocks such as iris, jai corp and Godha hit the upper circuit, and 43 stocks such as pc jeweler and nectar lifescienes hit the lower circuit.

Sonata, Trident, Navin, Bata and Iifl surgged 2-5 per cent amon the smallcap index, while angel one, affele, mcx, kaynes dragged 3-5 per cent. Among the Midcap, Waaree Energies, HDFC AMC, NHPC, Escorts and Hindustan Petroleum Gained 1-4 per cent. BseAurobindo Pharma, Bharti Hexacom, Lupin and Solar Industries Tanked 2-7 per cent. On the BSE, Alok Industries Rallied 15 per cent and Sharda Motor Slumped 9 per cent.
