America’s famous golfer Tiger Woods is once again in legal trouble. He has been arrested in Florida on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). The accident happened around 2 pm on Friday, when Woods’ car hit another vehicle and his Land Rover overturned. This accident happened in Jupiter Island area near his house. It is a matter of relief that Woods did not get injured in this accident.

Tiger Woods was drunk during the accident
According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Tiger Woods’ behavior at the scene showed signs of intoxication, after which he was taken into custody. However, there was no immediate response from his team or manager. This is not the first time that Tiger Woods’ name has come up in such a case. Earlier in 2017, he was also arrested on charges of DUI, when the police found him sleeping in the car. At that time he had told that he had taken the wrong combination of pain medicines. He later pleaded guilty to careless driving.
Woods has been associated with many accidents
Apart from this, he also had a major car accident in 2021, in which he suffered serious injuries to his leg and ankle and doctors had to consider amputating his leg. He has been battling injuries and surgeries in recent times. He suffered a torn ankle in 2025 and then had back surgery in September. For this reason, he has been away from professional golf for a long time and has not even been able to decide whether he will play in the upcoming Masters tournament or not. Besides, he has also received an offer to become the captain of the US team for the 2027 Ryder Cup, on which he has to take a decision soon.

Tiger Woods has had an amazing career on the field of play. He won his fifth Masters title in 2019 and has a total of 15 Major trophies to his name. He has 82 wins on the PGA Tour, which is an all-time record. The five-time Masters champion has not taken part in any official tournament since July 2024.
