Even after 40 years, Varosha is completely empty. Warning signs are still seen in cities, which say that it is forbidden to go inside or it is forbidden to take photographs. However, after 2003, some former citizens were allowed to enter some parts of the city. What they saw there was very surprising. Old cars were present inside the showroom, the glass windows of the shops were broken. Hotels were damaged, rooms were empty. Now turtles lay eggs on the beach of Varosha.
