After 78 years of independence, there was a wave of happiness among the villagers with the arrival of electricity in Tok Gwal Dev of Goriya Dev village of Nainital assembly constituency. This is like a dream come true for the villagers who have been deprived of basic facilities like electricity for a long time. This work was possible due to the efforts of former BJP state minister Rakesh Nainwal. Through MP Ajay Bhatt, he got the work done to provide electricity to the village from the MP fund.
Despite the difficult geographical conditions, the team of the electricity department laid a two and a half kilometer power line in the steep hills and provided electricity to the houses of Bhupal Singh Negi, Gobind Singh Negi and Ram Singh Negi in the village. Rakesh Nainwal told that he had resolved that after getting electricity, he would personally go to the village and meet the people, which he fulfilled.
There is an atmosphere of happiness in all the families of the village due to the arrival of electricity. During this, Rakesh Nainwal assured the villagers that soon road facility will also be provided to the village. He said that necessary funds will be made available for road construction after talking to the MP.
Former head Raju Negi had special support on this occasion. Many villagers including Sarpanch Balam Negi, Kisan Morcha worker Lalit Negi, senior leader Harish Belwal, former Mandi Vice President Man Singh Rawat, AE Deepak Pathak of Electricity Department, Chandan Jalal were present.
