During the launch event, we spent some time with the new Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime. How do we find these smartphones in the first glimpse? Let us tell you.
Galaxy J7 Prime And before talking about the specification of J5 Prime, we tell you about S Power Planning and S Secure Feature. These have been made keeping in mind Indian customers. S power planning feature has been made part of a handset for the first time. It seems that through this the company is trying to benefit young customers.
There are three features in S power planning. Reserve battery for phone calls, this feature reserves some part of the battery for calls and messages. Three power saving levels have been provided in extended battery time. With the help of forward call, user will be able to forward all the calls to a prescribed number in case the battery is over. Extended battery time users will get double battery life from normal time. Samsung’s representative says that many background activity in the phone will be closed to do so. S power planning can prove to be useful in common use. Because we often forget to charge the phone due to being busy.
The second new feature is S Secure which is related to security and privacy. This comes with the option to lock and hide the app. We have also seen the Secure Folder Feature in the Galaxy Note 7.
Samsung has also given S bike mode in both smartphones. The S Bike Mode was first launched with the Galaxy J3 (6). For the convenience of the user, Samsung has placed S Power Planning, S Secure and S Bike Mode Togal in the Quick Settings Panel.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and J5 prime with metal body gives a feeling of strengthening. Apart from this, both phones also give experience of being more weighty in terms of their texture. J7 Prime weighs 167 grams and 143 grams of J5 Prime. The front panel of both phones is equipped with 2.5D round-edor corning gorilla glass which gives it a premium look. The home button is present in the middle of the recent and back capacity button. Both phones have fingerprint scanners integrated in the home button. Both phones have the power button on the right side and the volume button on the left side. The 3.5mm audio jack and micro-USB charging port are present at the bottom of the phone. The company’s logo is present in the upper part of the display of both phones. Due to curved edges, we did not have difficulty in holding these phones in the hands.

Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy J5 Prime Android 6.0 Marshmallow is present in which Samsung’s touchwiz skin has been used. In both models, select apps of Microsoft will be installed in advance. The Galaxy J5 Prime has a 5 -inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is equipped with 2 GB RAM with a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor. The display of J5 Prime is vibrant and bright. According to us, the J7 Prime screen is better. Both phones support dual-sim.
In the limited time spent with Galaxy J7 Prime and J5 Prime, we found that both phones gave good response on touch input. The phone also worked fast during multitasking. We will be able to tell about Samsung’s new Galaxy J7 Prime and J5 Prime performance only during the review.
The Galaxy J7 Prime has a 13 -megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Its lens is F/ 1.9 aperture. It also has an 8 megapixel front camera. After using the camera, we found that J7 Prime took crisp pictures in indoor lighting. The front camera took a good selfie. The Galaxy J5 Prime also has a 13 -megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Its lens is F/1.9 aperture. However, the sensor of its front camera is 5 megapixels. We found that the pictures taken by J5 Prime in artificial lights were very crisp. However, we received a complaint of blurring on the edges of the photographs. The front camera took proper pictures. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy J5 Prime have been launched for Rs 18,790 and Rs 14,790 respectively. The Galaxy J7 Prime has been made available in India while the sales of Galaxy J5 Prime will start by the end of the month.
