Florida has been struggling with the problem of Burmese Pythons for a long time. These giant snakes settled here from the 1970s and gradually became a threat to local animals. Now a new scientific report has shown that the conditions of cold weather can prove to be effective against these pythons. Researchers at the Big Cypress National Present of Florida saw a shocking incident in November. In the cold season, a huge Burmese dragon reversed the entire deer. This was the first time a dragon was seen reversing its prey without any human intervention. The study was published in Ecology and Evolution Journal.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) biologist Mark Sandfoss said, “Draws often do such acts that are difficult to imagine but it was a beautiful moment when science and field observation are seen coinciding together.” Pythons are creatures with cold blood. That is, all their physical activities, such as digestion, depends on temperature. When the temperature goes very low, their digestion almost stops. In such a situation, if the stomach hunting starts rotting, then the risk of infection increases. To escape, the dragon reverses its food. Due to the cold, this dragon lost its big hunting, and scientists believe that due to this he would not have had enough energy for a long time. It can also affect its fertility. That is, if more such cases increase, then it can cause relief for the population of local deer and other animals.
Cold can be benefited
Burmese dragon in Florida can be up to 20 feet long and has become a big threat to local organisms. Especially WhiteTel deer, whose number is continuously decreasing. These deer are an important part of the food of hunter animals like crisp -affected Florida Panther. Experts believe that a major reason for a decline in the number of deer is python. Researchers monitored several female pythons for a year, as they mostly swallow large prey like deer. During this surveillance, this shocking scene came to light when a dragon spewed the deer due to the cold. The Florida government and conservation institutions have been trying to stop the increasing number of these pythons for a long time. Experts believe that this crisis will not end so easily. Their number is continuously increasing and the diversity of local organisms has been threatened.
