Why did the disclaimer become an issue of controversy?
The disclaimer referred to the brutality meted out to Indian soldiers by the Pakistani Army during the war and described Pakistan as ‘not trustworthy at all’. Many people raised questions on this. Recently, the film’s director Sriram Raghavan talked about this issue in an interview given to The Wire. He clearly said that he was not completely happy with this disclaimer. He said, ‘Many people have asked me about this disclaimer. I have decided that I will not talk much on this. Some things related to the film were not in my control.
