Normally the Speaker administers the oath to the new members, but after the movement in 2024, Parliament was dissolved, so there is neither a Speaker nor an MP. Even the Deputy Speaker is in jail. In such a situation, according to the Bangladeshi Constitution, the Chief Election Commissioner can administer the oath to the members. Apart from this, the President can nominate any member to administer the oath.
