The heat in the politics of the state has increased regarding the assembly elections to be held in Tamil Nadu this year. The preparations and allegations and counter-allegations of political parties in the election battle have also reached the seventh heaven. Meanwhile, in a rally held in Erode on Sunday, AIADMK General Secretary K Palaniswami made sharp attacks on former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam (OPS) and made fierce allegations against the ruling party DMK. He said that the allegation of being a ‘B-team’ was proved true on OPS and whoever betrayed AIADMK and left the party.
Palaniswami said the OPS has now taken refuge in the DMK, which was led by AIADMK founder M.G.R. Called it an ‘evil force’. He alleged that at the instigation of DMK, OPS filed cases against AIADMK leaders, but they failed legally.
Accused DMK of doing dynastic politics
The AIADMK chief said that even ordinary workers can become Chief Minister by winning elections in AIADMK, but only people from Karunanidhi’s family reach high positions in DMK. Accusing DMK of dynastic politics, he said that one family is exploiting eight crore people and AIADMK’s aim is to defeat this family.
Palaniswami also targeted Chief Minister MK Stalin. He said Stalin’s regime was responsible for crimes against women, children and youth and problems like ganja. He described former AIADMK leaders O.P.S and V. Senthilbalaji as ‘like bank notes’ which have no value now.
Palaniswami called OPS selfish
Palaniswami said in the rally that we will protect our party, but no one can protect your party because you yourself accepted the selfish OPS. He described DMK as a ‘slave’ of Congress and reminded that even during Karunanidhi’s time, Congress suppressed DMK. At the rally, Palaniswami took a jibe at the DMK and asked whether the common people would continue to pay the price because of the power of one family and whether it was right to allow such a party to remain in power.
