Tamil Nadu Elections: Congress angry over ticket distribution, Jyothimani said – no transparency in seat selection – Congress Mp Jothimani Raises Concerns Over Lack Of Transparency In Tamil Nadu Seat Allocation

Congress MP S. Jyothismani (Karur) made serious allegations over the seat selection process in the DMK alliance for the April 23 assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, saying the process lacks total transparency and the party’s interests have been completely compromised.

Jyotimani wrote in her social media post that there is no transparency in the selection of seats. Our suggestion that seats be selected with detailed discussion and transparency was rejected by the responsible officials. Congress has been given a total of 28 seats in this alliance.

Serious allegations made against the party

This statement of the MP has come at a time when major political parties of Tamil Nadu like DMK and AIADMK are finalizing their strategies for the upcoming elections. Along with this, new parties like Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) are also attracting attention. Jyotimani accused the state leadership of carrying out the seat-sharing and selection process in a secret manner and said that years of contribution of hard-working party workers were being ignored.

‘Selling the hard work of Congress workers’

He said that it is sad to see that people who do not contribute to the party are selling the hard work of Congress workers. The MP warned that if this ‘merchant or sales-based approach’ continues, no one can save the Congress party in Tamil Nadu. Jyothi Mani indicated that she would not remain silent on the matter and would make a more detailed statement once the official list of seats and candidates was made public. There are a total of 234 seats in the Tamil Nadu Assembly and elections will be held in a single phase on April 23.
