When did Manoj Biswas join Congress after two parties?

Manoj Biswas, elected MLA from Forbesganj seat of Araria district of Seemanchal, has been in politics since 2009. The base has been of Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal United, although he has also been in RJD. He became the Block Youth President of JDU for the first time in 2010. Became active in JDU in 2012. In 2017-18, he became the state extremely backward secretary of JDU. Then, in 2019, he joined RJD and became the Most Backward Region General Secretary there. He was the District Chief General Secretary of RJD till a few days before the elections of 2023 to 2025. A few days before the elections, he took membership of Congress and became MLA from Forbesganj Assembly by winning by 221 votes.

Surendra Prasad Kushwaha, who was elected MLA from Valmikinagar seat of West Champaran district adjacent to Nepal, had joined the Congress Party in 2024. Before this, he was associated with Upendra Kushwaha’s then party – Rashtriya Lok Samata Party. In 2015, when he contested the elections from Kushwaha’s party, he stood third. In the 2025 elections, he could win by 1675 votes.
