The domestic benchmark indices witnessed a significant fall on Monday, primarily due to a sharp drop in its stocks. Despite the GST Boost, this Downturn in the Market was triggered by the US government’s decision to increase the h-1B visa fee to $ 100,000, a move that raised concerns about Higher Operational COMPANIES Reliant on these visas.
DURING The Trading Session, Sensex and Nifty 50 Fell by 475 Points and 115 Points, Respectively. Off from the day’s low, Sensex Traded 213.24 points or 0.26 per cent lower at 82,412.99 at 1.20 PM, Against the Previous Close of 82,626.23. Nifty 50 Fell by 42.30 points or 0.17 per cent to 25,284.75, Against Previous Close of 25,327.05.
The smallcap index declined by 0.45 per cent, and the midcap index dipped by 0.02 per cent.
Sectorral performance showed a mixed trend. It stocks continued their decline, Dropping Nearly 3 per cent. Telecom, Pharma, Healthcare, and Consumer Durables also Saw Losses, whereas realy gained 1 per cent. Meanwhile, Media, Metal, Banking, Auto, And Oil & Gas Sector Demonstrated Resilience. Some stocks gained traction due to the GST reforms boost.
Top Gainers & Losers Today
Adani Enterprises, Bajaj Auto, Eternal, Adani Ports and Hero Motocorp Led the Gainers on the Nifty 50, While it heavyweighs tech mahindra, tcs, infosys, wipro and hcl tech contest Major Laggards.
A total of 3,080 stocks were tradeed on the national stock exchange at the time of written, Among which 1,429 stocks advanced, 1,535 declined and 116 remained unachaged.
The Market Saw 102 Stocks Hitting Their 52-Veeek High Including Grasim Industries, Hyundai, JSW Steel, and Canara Bank, While 39 Stocks Touched Their 52-Whitek Lows. Additionally, 103 stocks featuring adani power, inox green and e2e networks, was in the upper circuit and 57 (including Sejal Glass) in the Lower Circuit.
Midcap & Smallcap Movers
Midcap Stocks Hudco, Aditya Birla Fashion, MRF, Muthoot Finance and Paytm Stock Gained 2-5 per per cent. MPhasis, Persistent Systems, Coforge, Glenmark and Voltas depreciated 3-4 per cent.
In the Smallcap Segment, Hindustan Copper Anant Raj, NBCC (India), GRSE and PEL Sored 3-7 per cent, While Zensar Tech, Cyient, Sagility, IKS and LAL PATH LABS DEPRACIATED 3-4 PERCIATED.
Despite the broader setback, certain stocks, such as adani group stocks, showed resilience, with adani enterprises amon the gainers.
On the bse, adani power, adani total gas and adani green shares rallied 9-20 per cent. Borosil renewables and awl also increase by 7-8 per cent. On the losing side was zydus wellness, mphasis, cartrade, zensar tech and alivus, losing a little over 4 per cent.
