The Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested the wanted accused in a sensational case of kidnapping and brutal murder from Jhajjar district of Haryana. The accused was absconding for several days and the police were continuously conducting raids in search of him.
Police arrested 27-year-old accused Neeraj from Dhandhlan village of Jhajjar district of Haryana. Neeraj was wanted in a case of kidnapping and murder registered in Bindapur police station of Dwarka district of Delhi.
Delhi Police took important action on intelligence information
Delhi Police team had received secret information on the evening of March 31 that the accused Neeraj was going to come to Dhandhlan village of Jhajjar to meet someone of his acquaintance. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot, laid siege and arrested the accused. After this he was brought to Delhi and formally arrested in the Special Cell police station.
The accused made important revelations during the interrogation of Delhi Police.
The revelations made by the accused during the interrogation of Delhi Police are very shocking. According to the police, Neeraj along with his associates Bhupendra, Suraj alias Happy, Balram and Rakhi had kidnapped a person named Anurag Gupta. Anurag Gupta used to run the canteen at Chhattisgarh House in New Delhi.
Investigation revealed that accused Rakhi had called Anugrah Gupta to a flat located in Matiala area of Delhi on the pretext. As soon as he reached there, the accused tied him with ropes and looted his jewellery. After this, pressure was put on him to arrange money.
The dead body was cut into pieces to destroy evidence.
According to Delhi Police, when the accused felt that the matter could get worse, they brutally murdered Anurag Gupta. After the murder, the accused cut the body into several pieces with a chopper knife. Then those pieces were packed and thrown in the Yamuna river near Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh. So that the evidence can be destroyed.
The arrested accused Neeraj is educated till 12th and earlier used to work in a factory near his village. During this time he met a person named Balram. Who introduced him to Suraj alias Happy. Suraj used to buy and sell vehicles in Dwarka area. According to the police, Neeraj entered the world of crime due to the greed to earn quick money.
Investigation continues in Delhi Police case
According to police records, the accused has already come under the police radar in a case. In November 2023, he was arrested under section 107/151 CrPC under precautionary action at Sampla police station in Rohtak district of Haryana. At present, Delhi Police is searching for the remaining accused involved in the case. Police say that soon all the accused will be arrested and the entire conspiracy of the case will be revealed.
