Sanju Samson On Abhishek Samson: Indian team opener Sanju Samson has made a big revelation about his teammate Abhishek Sharma, who scored a fifty in the ICC T20 World Cup final. New Delhi. India’s star opener Sanju Samson praised his opening partner Abhishek Sharma and described their partnership as smooth and balanced. He called their pairing “Aag and Aag” in which both of them take turns in aggressive play. Samson told that there is a natural Kerala-Punjabi friendship between them, which further improves their understanding. Samson praised Abhishek’s bravery and calm nature and said that he loves their friendship both on and off the field.

Samson also revealed that Indian players were ‘jealous’ of Abhishek’s initial popularity. He said, “Earlier the boys were jealous of the applause that Abhishek was getting. Abhishek was heard everywhere. We used to think, do people look only at him? But yes, now he is the superstar of the team. Get married soon brother.”

Samson and Abhishek thrashed New Zealand’s bowlers in the ICC T20 World Cup final and added 98 runs in the opening partnership. Both of them gave a great start to India in the powerplay. Thanks to his tremendous start, India scored 255 runs in the final. Team India created history and won the T20 World Cup title for the third time. Became the first team to defend the title on home ground. India achieved this feat by defeating New Zealand by 96 runs in Ahmedabad.

Samson made a brilliant comeback in the T20 World Cup. Despite sitting on the bench, he scored the most runs for India. Scored consecutive half-centuries when the team needed it. From the virtual quarterfinal against West Indies to the final against New Zealand, he played important innings. Samson scored 321 runs in five innings at an average of 80.25 and strike rate of 199.37, which included 27 fours and 24 sixes. He was the third highest run scorer in the T20 World Cup.
