New Delhi. Pakistan cricket team’s fast bowler Salman Mirza was accused of misbehaving with a female housekeeping staff during the T20 World Cup 2026 being jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka. There were reports in Pakistani media that Salman Mirza misbehaved with a female employee working in a hotel in Kandy. Expressing anger over these allegations, this Pakistani pacer has given his clarification and said that it is completely baseless. Pakistan Cricket Board has also termed the allegations as completely wrong and false news. The board said that these news are fake news spread to tarnish the image of the player.
Salman Mirza presented his side on social media and said that the allegations leveled against him are wrong. This Pakistani cricket called such news as cheap journalism. While sharing the Instagram story, Mirza wrote, ‘An absolutely absurd news is spreading in the media and I strongly condemn this kind of cheap journalism. No media house can run such news without verification.
