There used to be a severe shortage of resources in Government Primary School Safipur, whereas today this school is making its mark as a new model of education. The tireless hard work, dedication and positive thinking of teacher Rekha Budkoti have been the biggest reason behind this change.
As soon as teacher Rekha took charge of the post of school in-charge in the school, she had decided that no matter what the circumstances were, the education of the children would not be compromised. He had to face many challenges in the initial days. Children’s low interest, parents’ indifference and lack of resources were major obstacles but they did not give up. Due to his tireless efforts and the cooperation of NGOs, the face of the school has changed.
Parents did not send children to school regularly
Smart classes, computer lab, playground and sports equipment were installed in the school for the children. Message and curriculum related pictures were made on the walls of the school. Through this, children were taught alphabets, mathematics and general knowledge while playing. At the same time, studies were made interesting by using digital resources in the school. Now students are not only reaching school regularly but are also performing better in studies.

Whereas earlier many parents did not send their children to school regularly, now they themselves have started taking interest in their children’s education. On behalf of teacher Rekha, children were also connected with cleanliness, plantation and moral education. The school campus now looks clean and attractive, which is becoming an inspiration for the nearby schools.
