Today we will review the LG G5 of Rs 52,990 in the list of flagship smartphones. This smartphone claims to have everything that a user expects from the flagship smartphone. The phone has many new features. LG G5 with a fully modular design has made a new beginning in the flagship category. Learn why buy this flagship modular smartphone.
Look and design
LG G5 A separate frame and a metal body with a rear shell. However, we did not like it for the first time holding the phone in hand. On taking the phone in hand, a flagship metal device was more than a phone made of mid-range plastic. But later the G5 proved to be a little better, but this phone does not make the same feel as we saw in many devices of this recently reviewed price.
The metal shell has been curved very well on the edges, but due to a separate frame, the phone does not always look good to hold in hand. In addition, despite having 5.3 inchesscreen in the G5, the phone looks like a heavy phone. Apart from this, there is also a problem in the remuel modular base which does not look perfectly fit and because of this it looks strange.
The rear has a dual camera setup, with laser autofocus window, flash and color sensor. The power button also acts as a fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint sensor unlocks the phone very accurate and rapidly. And separate from another device, despite not activating the phone, you can unlock the phone only by touching the fingers on the power button.
The next part of the phone has a screen on 70 percent. The glass given on the next part is quite good in our eyes. But it does not have any special function. Its most special feature at the bottom of the phone is modular and removable. Its appearance looks very attractive when looking forward. It seems that this is a removable unit and from this you remember that you have a better approach phone in your hand.
The hybrid-dual sim slot is given on the right side and the volume and module rock buttons are on the left side. The 3.5 mm shock and infrared blaster are upwards. Standard module coming with the phone is a simple phone base equipped with USB Type-C port, microphone and speaker. Removal battery will be seen on removing the rear cover of the phone.
LG has announced two optional modules for G5. The LG Came Plus of Rs 6,500 is a camera grip with a separate shutter, camera on/off and video recording, dial buttons for zoom. It also has a 1200 mAh battery, which increases the total battery capacity of the phone to 4000 mAh.
Hi-Fi Plus has been given as another option. It is a dack module made by Bang and Alluffesen. Its device claims to improve the audio output coming from the headphone or wired speaker. However, we did not get a chance to use any of these two modules. During our review, we can only test the standard module and this did not give us any benefit of any additional feature.
The LG G5 has a 5.3 -inch IPS LCD screen of 1440×2560 pixels with a density 554 PPI. For this reason, the screen is quite sharp and a pleasant feeling is also available during photos, videos games or surfing. Colors on the screen look quite vibrant and detailing.
Specification
Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor is being given in many devices these days. But in India Xiaomi Mi 5 ,Review) After this LG G5 coming with this processor is the second smartphone. These days it is Quacom’s flagship processor and is also one of the most powerful processors available in the market today.

In the specification, we found the weakest 32 GB inbuilt storage. Nowadays most of the devices of this category are coming with 64 GB storage. Software
The LG G5 runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with LG’s Optimus UI 5.0. Each is a single layer UI. Most Chinese smartphone companies give similar UIs in their devices. However, according to your convenience, you can switch to the traditional dual-level user interface in LG G5. The software is designed very well, which makes it look clean, clear.
The G5 has a work screen called Smartut Bulletin which can be activated by going to the setting app. With this, users can directly access the calendar, health tracker, quick remote app and other apps from the home screen itself. Apart from this, you can download another additional feature B to use this feature.
By going to the setting app, you can control many things, including SIM handling to Android Soft’s layout, the camera for the camera’s quick launch gesture. Quick Settings menu can also be customized.
LG has given an allways-on display in G5, so that the screen remains active even when the phone is on standby mode. The phone includes many LG apps already installed which include Back Up, Friends Manager, Health, Quick Remote and Smart World. Avnote also pre-loaded in LG G5 which cannot be uninstall.
Camera
Talking about the camera of LG G5, it has a dual rear camera setup on the rear. The phone has a 16 -megapixel main and 8 megapixel support sensor. Along with this, the phone has an 8 -megapixel front camera. The rear camera can shoot 30 frames per second of up to 2160 pixels per second, while the front camera can record 30 frames up to 10080 pixels per second. The rear camera has a slow motion mode which is recorded at 60 frames per second at full-HD resolution. Apart from this, optical image stabilization, laser autofocus and color spectrum sensors are also present.
The camera software is well designed and the layout is quite convenient. The layout has all the buttons of the need. Recording a video from the al-separate button on the camera’s viewfinder screen is a one-step process. Apart from this, there is also a button to exit the app quickly. Apart from this, there is also a standard togle for flash, camera switching and shooting mode. Other things like resolution, HDR settings, self -timer can be controlled from the detail setting menu. Along with this, there is a special togle through which a quick switch can be done between Armal and Wide Angle lens.
The camera can be easily focused, whether you are selecting autofacus or manually focal area. And good close shots can be taken with the help of laser system. Photos taken in the indoor are very spectacular. But this does not mean that good pictures cannot be taken from G5 in natural light. Details and clean with the shot shot focus.
The pictures taken in low light are also good, especially when it comes to color and detailing. It is very fun to take the shot taken on the wide angle and especially when you are taking natural landscape photos. Most of the photos taken from G5 are good. The front camera is also fine and it brings a great selfie.
When you are moving or shooting videos in a vehicle, optical image stabilization works a lot. It is good to have 4K video options in the phone, but due to large file size, you will be able to use it very little. The video also makes the video fantastic on full-HD.
Performance
The LG G5 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It is one of the most powerful processors present in the market. The LG G5 with 4 GB RAM is included in the best performance smartphone. From booting to opening apps, running gam and heavy apps, many tabs open together in webbuzer do the phone. Multitasking is also better and you can work together in several apps without any hassle at once.
LG G5 raised very good figures in the selling test. If you want to buy a powerful smartphone, then G5 is one of the most powerful smartphones in the market.
The phone is slightly hot at the time of playing games or more use, but it is convenient to use. In our video loop test, the battery supported 13 hours 6 minutes. At the time of normal use, the phone runs easily throughout the day. This phone charge, which comes with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology, also gets early.
Network connectivity is also good and works well not only on 4G network but also on weak Wi-Fi signals. Single speaker provides good sound quality but headphones are better than sound quality.
Our decision
Smartovas of LG’s G series are either always hits or are not successful at all. Last year, the G4 smartphone disappointed in many features, especially in terms of battery life and software. Apart from this, laser autofocus was also not as expected. All those problems have been solved in the LG G5. But the most different now seems to be that a smartphone is ultimately in the market to give a select to Samsung’s dominance.
The most attractive feature in LG G5 is LG G5, so that you can add additional features and functions to the phone. Currently, only Cam Plus module is available but we hope that LG will also provide other modules in the coming time. Good software, strong battery life, great performance and better cameras make this phone a real flagship smartphone.
However, the building’s build quality could have been better. Although LG has given a fully metal body in this phone, but it does not give many other flagship smartphones. The alignment given between the body and module of G5 makes the phone’s design feel a bit useless. Except for this, there is hardly any other deficiency in LG G5 besides high price. We will advise every user who wants to buy a premium flagship Android smartphone.
