All NDA candidates have won in the voting held on Monday (March 16, 2026) on five Rajya Sabha seats of Bihar. The leaders of the Grand Alliance have alleged that BJP has done horse-trading. Meanwhile, the reaction of Vikassheel Insaan Party founder and former Bihar minister Mukesh Sahni has come.
Mukesh Sahni said that the Grand Alliance had more than the required 41 votes in this election, but BJP, with the power of money and power, stopped four MLAs of the Grand Alliance from voting. While talking to journalists in Patna, he said that BJP neither has faith in democracy nor does it believe in the Constitution. His aim is to remain in power by any means possible.

‘Today the whole country got the proof of this’
The VIP chief said that in the Bihar Assembly elections held last year also, votes were taken on the strength of money and once again in the Rajya Sabha elections, MLAs were bought on the strength of economics. The way NDA had fielded five candidates in this election, at the same time there was a fear that BJP would buy and sell MLAs on the strength of money and power system and today the whole country got the proof of this.
Mukesh Sahni said that Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and NDA Rajya Sabha candidates are doing horse-trading to win this democratic election, which is a crime. He said that BJP had already bought four MLAs of our party. While giving advice to the public representatives, he said that the public representatives were elected with confidence by the public, but now the same people are compromising their principles and character for the sake of money, which cannot be justified under any circumstances.
