The Central Zone team captained by Rajat Patidar has won the Duleep Trophy title. The Central Zone defeated South Zone by 6 wickets in the final. The Central Zone has won this title after 10 years.
Rajat Patidar made the Central Zone the champion. The Central Zone needed 65 runs to win the last day of the match. But the Central Zone lost four wickets early in an attempt to achieve the target in a hurry. Danish Malewar (5), Shubham Sharma (8), Summary Jain (4) and Patidar (13) were the batsmen to be dismissed on the fifth day. Gurjapneet Singh and Ankit Sharma took two wickets for the South Zone. However, Akshay Vadkar (19 not out) and Yash Rathore (13 not out) ensured that there was no more damage and the team took victory.

South Zone tried a brilliant comeback in the second innings. All his batsmen contributed well. Ankit Sharma (99) and Andre Siddharth (84) performed their best and also managed to give an edge to the South Zone. However, this happened on the fourth day of the match and unfortunately it was not enough to stop the Central Zone. Patidar’s dream journey continues as captain by winning the Dulip Trophy. A few months ago, he gave RCB his first IPL title. Due to which his 18 -year trophy was over. The Central Zone captured the Dalip Trophy after 10 years.
