Rajasthan: Rajyavardhan Rathore said, ‘The number of skilled youth will cross one lakh in 2026’

Rajasthan government is working on a serious strategy regarding entrepreneurship and skill development of youth across the state. Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said that a target has been set to increase the number of skilled youth in the state to more than one lakh by the year 2026. The government’s focus is not limited to training only, but a concrete policy is being made towards making the youth self-reliant and connecting them with employment generation.

He said that initiatives like promoting terracotta industry in Pokaran area will open new employment opportunities at the local level. Also, a special action plan is being prepared for youth entrepreneurship in all the districts of Rajasthan. A decision has also been taken to form a committee to strengthen the skilling system.

In response to a question asked under supplementary question to question number 252 in the State Assembly regarding promotion of terracotta work in Pokaran assembly constituency and providing entrepreneurship and employment to the youth, Industries Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said that special work will be done for the skilling of youth in the entire Rajasthan. If any such suggestion comes in any specialized district regarding any special skill then it will definitely be considered.

60 thousand youth will become trend from the year 2022 to 2024- Colonel

Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore said that the government is doing good work in this regard. 60 thousand youth have been trained in the year 2022 and 2024. In 2024 and 2026 this number will increase to beyond one lakh. We will try to increase it further. We have formed a committee in the Industries Department in 2026. The committee will study the gap to see where we need to take skilling. Where and what problem is occurring? The government is paying full attention to ensure that the departments are able to conduct training in all the districts of Rajasthan including the border districts.
